The holiday season isn't really about "presents"…it's about "presence"! Make no mistake, great gifts are those things that make people feel loved…a hand written note, letting go of resentments and taking the time to have fun making cookies with the kids, being extra kind in daily routines, watching a family movie, laughing together, playing a board game or just putting your life on hold for a moment to listen and have a fun conversation with those you love.
Those are no doubt great gifts. Those kinds of gifts will last in our memories for a lifetime…they are gifts from the heart. But the real reason for the season will always be about the greatest gift ever given… the gift of life. A gift of eternal life can only be given and received through God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
So as we go through the joys of both giving and receiving gifts that reflect our relationships here on earth, let's not forget to share the greatest gift that can ever be given… the gift of eternal life.
The Reason for the Season… God's wonderful gift to us, Eternal life through his Son Jesus Christ.

Amen, amen that's so true. God is so good, even the though these are some tough times for just about every family know, God still does things to make life not so hard. My mom has been busy on craig's list looking for people that need clothes or toys for the holiday's. And for some good deals for the family too.lol. Just yeasterday she came across an ad, by a woman that wanted to bless some one with children's size clothes-in memory of her three and a half month old baby who had recently passed away in his sleep late November. She was flagged for some reason and her ad was taken off. But before her story was lost, my mom had an opportunity to minister to this hurting mom, who was just reaching out to some one who would hear her, and give her some sort of comfort. My mom would know how she felt having been through the same tragedy. God- in the middle of our economic inconvenience- still holds in His hands for us the greatest gift, eternal life. Sharing this with other's is our
responsiblity. Praise God! I hear you P.R. God bless you! Merry Christmas. -Bruce B Rudulph
